Elementary Beginner 3
Ages: 5-12 years old
Prerequisites:
Swimmer’s in the Beginner 3 class must have a basic breath control (10 seconds), swim independently (10 ft) and back float independently (10 seconds) Swimmers must be able to follow directions and be comfortable in the water.
Description:
In Beginner 3, your child will learn to "swim like a fish" thru a child-centered, activity-oriented approach--coupled with unique skill progressions for the following:
- Back Finning (25 ft.)
- Underwater Swimming using a "Pop-up" Breath (25 ft.)
- Swim-Float-Swim (25 ft.)
- Seated Dive & Retrieve Item from bottoSittingm of the Pool
- Safety Jump-Independent Jump, turn, swim, climb out of pool.
Upon mastering the Beginner 3 skills, your child will advance to Advanced Beginner where he/she will learn to swim the formal strokes of Freestyle with Side Breathing and Backstroke.
