Radiant Swim School was created to help bridge the gap rural families often face in accessing quality, effective swim instruction and water-safety education close to home.

Our mission goes beyond learning to swim. We believe drowning prevention begins with education and multiple layers of protection around every type of water. We help swimmers and families build practical water-safety knowledge, survival skills and confidence they can carry wherever their lives around water may take them.

No two swimmers learn exactly the same way or at the same pace.

Our small-group curriculum meets swimmers at their current skill level and builds from a strong foundation of water safety and survival skills into confident, independent swimming.

And learning to swim isn't always fun in the sun.

For some swimmers, the journey begins with excitement. For others, it begins with uncertainty, hesitation or even tears. We meet them there—with patience, encouragement, clear expectations and people beside them who believe they are capable while they're learning to believe it for themselves.

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's learning that fear doesn't have to be in charge.

And when we do those little things alongside people who encourage us, cheer for us and stay with us along the way, little by little can become something very big.

We get to watch uncertainty become trust, trust become skill, and skill become the kind of confidence a swimmer can finally feel for themselves:

Songs, games, cheers and plenty of encouragement are woven into purposeful instruction because growth deserves to be celebrated.

When a swimmer's safety, learning, communication or support needs require a different approach, adaptive and individualized instruction is available through our SNAAP — Special Needs Adaptive Aquatics Program.

Learning to swim is about more than mastering a skill.

We want every swimmer who enters the water with us to leave knowing a little more about what they can do—and perhaps a little more about who they are becoming.

For Radiant Swim School, water safety doesn't end at the pool.

As a co-founder of the Somervell County Safety Coalition, Radiant works alongside local and regional partners to bring drowning-prevention education, life-jacket awareness and practical water-safety resources to families throughout our community.

Our water-safety collaborations include the Brazos River Authority, Cook Children's and Safe Kids, along with the local organizations that come together through the Somervell County Safety Coalition.

No single swim lesson, life jacket, parent, instructor or organization can prevent every water emergency.

Water safety works in layers—and building a water-safe community takes all of us.

Through our community partnerships, free life-jacket loaner stations are available for local families and visitors enjoying the water at:

Dinosaur Valley State Park • Big Rocks Park • Wheeler Branch Reservoir

Life jackets are provided and replenished annually so families can borrow what they need while enjoying the water and return them when they're finished for the next family to use.

Radiant Swim School is proud to call Dinosaur Valley RV Park in Glen Rose, Texas, our summer home.

And over the years, something pretty special has begun happening.

Families travel from across Texas—and beyond—to make Radiant part of their summer. Some coordinate a stay at Dinosaur Valley RV Park around their four-day swim camp, turning swim week into family vacation time and creating their own Radiant summer tradition.

Because the skills learned at Radiant aren't meant to stay inside the swimming pool.
